NHACAINGA CONSERVANCY

THE FOUNDING PARTNERS

Rio Save Safaris Lda is the company that owns the lease to Coutada Oficial No. 9, the area of 433,000 hectares within which the Nhacainga Conservancy is being developed. The company was purchased from Ivor Van Diggelen in 2002 by three partners who each have an equal share in the company. The three founding partners who have developed the Nhacainga Conservancy concept and facilitated Government support are:

Barrie Duckworth was born and raised in Zimbabwe.  After leaving school Barrie joined the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Management as a game ranger. He spent 10 years in the Department gaining a vast amount of experience in wildlife management. Barrie was a founder member of the Save Valley Conservancy in Zimbabwe,  currently the largest privately owned wildlife project in Africa and arguably one of the most successful. He was the driving force behind the re-stocking programmes and has been involved in all aspects of  running this large area including  fencing, road building, dam building, water supply development and general wildlife management.   He has also successfully run his own safari company catering for international clients for the past 25 years in Zimbabwe and Mozambique.   He has a wonderful rapport with clients and is well experienced in marketing wildlife oriented businesses.   He is a qualified professional hunter.

Stuart Hulley-Miller was born in South Africa and raised in Zimbabwe.   He was also a game ranger with the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Management and is a qualified professional hunter.  He has been self employed in farming and business for the past 25 years in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Mozambique where he has had a full time involvement since 1994.   He is well versed in the creation and running of business enterprises.   Property and property development has been a major area of activity.   He is a shareholder and director of the insurance company Hollard, in Mozambique.

Adamo Valy was born and raised in Mozambique. He has held senior positions within the Mozambique Government as well as being a former U.N. agency employee.   Adamo has a broad understanding of the workings of Mozambican Government affairs and systems as well as a very good knowledge of the legal system.   Being of local origin makes for a better understanding and empathy with the local administrations.   He is based in Maputo which is the administrative center for Mozambique.   He is a director and shareholder of the insurance company, Hollard, in Mozambique.

As a result of past and present enterprises embarked upon by the partners in Mozambique they have a good reputation within the country and with its officials. In the new and emerging business environment of Mozambique this is of great value.

Barrie, Stuart and Adamo are inviting serious investors to become shareholders in Rio Save Safaris which will give them exclusive use rights for a specific area of land within the Nhacainga Conservancy.
